Our client is a prestigious and established multidisciplinary professional services organisation based in groovy East Sydney. They provide specialist legal advice and consulting services in the financial services space, offering a national legal presence for a range of great clients.
The legal team basically operates like an in-house legal team working with professionals from other disciplines, so you get the best of both worlds - mentoring by experienced expert senior lawyers, in a small & focussed team. The principal lawyers all come from major law firms, so your training will continue at the highest level.
Due to increasing demand, they are seeking a solicitor to join their friendly and professional team.
The ideal candidates for this exiting and challenging position will have:
• 18 months - 5 years post admission experience
• Good knowledge of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act and its application to financial planning and/or general insurance
• Sound experience advising financial services licensees on compliance and regulatory matters
• Good knowledge of retail financial services (IDPS, MDAs, SMAs, managed investments, superannuation, trusts and tax)
• Corporate / commercial transactional experience
• Great people skills - you will love dealing with clients and and working collaboratively other professionals.
