EXCLUSIVE Law Lecturer (Casual)- Do something special with your legal background
  • Fantastic opportunity for lawyer wanting to mentor students
  • Flexibility - around 14 hours a week at great hourly rate
  • Join this leading educational organisation, full materials and resources provided
Have you ever wanted to do something special with your legal background?

Our client is one of the country's leading legal educational institutions. There is currently a great opportunity for a lawyer with an interest in teaching to join the team on a casual basis.

The role will allow you to educate, train and mentor young law graduates and equip them for practice as part of their professional practical legal training.

The role is currently available on a casual basis ( but may become a fixed term contract) based in Canberra. The current requirements are around 14 hours per week which is likely to include some evenings. This would be ideal for someone with flexibility in their current practise or perhaps someone with a young family looking to take on a very flexible role and in particular after hours teaching. As a lot of the work is online, you can often select your own hours to deal with enquiries from students via email. There is also the chance for career development.

The role has a number of very interesting facets including face to face contact with students, online correspondence and telephone contact for mentoring/tutoring students, providing feedback on submitted work, conducting workshops, marking assessments and written examinations.

The course is well established and there is no need to prepare course materials. The timetable and curricula are well established and easy to follow. You will be provided access to the state of the art teaching portal and full training on the very intuitive systems.
