Founder and CEO of Elias Recruitment, Jason Elias wins the 2020 RCSA Industry Award for Recruitment Leader of the Year

On Friday afternoon, 26 June 2020, the annual Australian RCSA Industry Awards were held. The prestigious RCSA Industry Awards provide the opportunity to recognise the best of the best in the recruitment, staffing and workforce solutions sector in Australia and New Zealand. Legal Specialist Recruiter, Founder and CEO of Elias Recruitment, Jason Elias was announced as the winner of the Recruitment Leader of the Year Award. Due to Covid Restrictions, the event which is usually a glamorous Gala Dinner was held using a live stream via the RCSA Facebook page. “It was a wonderful surprise, especially given the quality of the other finalists and the record number of applications this year”, said Elias. “Since starting Elias Recruitment 20 years ago, I have always maintained a philosophy of collaboration over competition. Our aim is to get the best match for the candidate and client, and if that means working with other agencies and splitting the placement fee, so be it. A happy candidate and happy client will lead to greater long-term success. To this end I owe a lot to NPAworldwide- the world’s largest recruitment network. NPA has taught me the value of collaboration and has led to dozens of extra placements. By working with other quality recruiters, we expand our geographic and industry reach. Moreover, we share market knowledge, technical skills, industry insights and comradery. I have had the honour of volunteering on and off in NPA since 2007 and am honoured to be its current global chairman. A big thanks to the RCSA and Indeed for sponsoring the Award. I want to thank my amazing and loyal team- Karolina, Margot, Maryanne, Paige, Rachel and Stephen. A huge thanks to our clients, candidates, my RCSA committee colleagues, NPA partners and staff, and my dear friend and trusted confidante Sue-Ella Prodonovich. Graham Jenkins has also been a generous and masterful mentor over many years. My patient wife Jackie and three kids who have tolerated many early morning and late night phone calls and me being away from home to fulfill my numerous volunteering commitments. This has been a tough year for many in our industry including our team. It has been satisfying though to see so many recruiters rallying together and embracing collaboration. There are some encouraging green shoots in the market and we are well positioned to bounce back. At Elias Recruitment we even have a new consultant Tegan joining the team next week. Thanks again for a great honour and here’s to a bright new financial year.” About Elias Recruitment: Elias Recruitment is a legal recruitment specialist, placing legal professionals into legal roles Australia-wide.
