The Opportunity A leading national provider of professional legal education is seeking an experienced Western Australian legal practitioner to join its facilitation team for the Legal Practice Management Course (LPMC). This role is ideal for a senior lawyer, former Principal, Practice Manager or seasoned practitioner who enjoys teaching, guiding and supporting experienced lawyers preparing to step into principal-level responsibility.
You’ll deliver high‑quality, practical learning experiences through interactive workshops, scenario‑based activities and assessment, helping participants build the capability, judgment and confidence required to operate a legal practice in WA.

About the Role As an LPMC Facilitator, you will:
  • Facilitate workshops — Deliver engaging face‑to‑face and online sessions using practical examples, discussion and real‑world scenarios.
  • Prepare and deliver content — Review materials, plan activities and ensure smooth delivery aligned with curriculum and accreditation requirements.
  • Assess and support participants — Provide constructive written feedback, mark assessment tasks and maintain accurate records through the LMS.
  • Collaborate with colleagues — Work with other facilitators and internal teams to ensure consistency, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to course development — Identify emerging issues, update examples, refine activities and support ongoing course enhancement.
  • Model professional standards — Uphold ethical conduct, participant focus, teamwork and high‑quality learning outcomes.
What You Bring
  • Contemporary WA legal practice experience and strong credibility in one or more areas of practice management (e.g., trust accounting, financial management, risk, ethics, leadership, business planning, systems or innovation).
  • Facilitation or training capability — Ability to explain complex concepts in a practical, accessible and engaging way.
  • Excellent communication skills — Confident leading discussion across diverse practitioner backgrounds.
  • Strong organisation and preparation — Able to deliver sessions to time and manage assessment responsibilities.
  • Digital confidence — Comfortable with MS Office, online meeting platforms and learning management systems.
  • Commitment to professional standards, ethics and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Essential:
    • Admission as a lawyer in Australia and eligibility to practise.
    • Substantial post‑admission experience, ideally within Western Australia.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience as a facilitator, lecturer, trainer or assessor.
    • Background in practice leadership, management or regulatory engagement.
    • Teaching or professional education qualifications.
