An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced
Associate to join their busy Workers Compensation team based in Sydney.
While the ideal candidate will have defendant-side Workers Compensation experience (ideally from another panel firm), those with plaintiff-side Workers Compensation backgrounds will be strongly considered—particularly over candidates with defendant experience in non-WC insurance. Experience with icare / Nominal Insurer / TMF, or a solid understanding of SIRA Practice Directions and WCC procedures is highly regarded.

As an
Associate, you’ll manage a broad range of Workers Compensation matters, including statutory benefits, work injury damages, and common law claims. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing timely and commercially sound legal advice with minimal supervision
- Drafting high-quality legal documents in plain English
- Managing your own files from start to finish
- Maintaining strong client relationships and service standards
- Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to their development
- Participating in business development and knowledge-sharing activities
What We’re Looking For - A minimum of 3+ years’ post-admission experience in Workers Compensation (preferably in NSW)
- Excellent legal knowledge and drafting skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- A current NSW Practising Certificate
