As a member of the Legal team, you’ll play a crucial role in protecting the company's interests and supporting corporate operations and compliance matters in Australia.
What You’ll Do:
- Review, draft, edit, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, and residential property purchase agreements.
- Advise on marketing materials, website copy, promotional rules, and consumer communications.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure compliance with global corporate policies.
- Anticipate and guard against legal and compliance risks by conducting research and providing analysis and advice.
- Occasional work travel may be required.
- A qualified lawyer in Australia (or other relevant jurisdiction) with 7+ years of experience in a recognized law firm or in-house legal department.
- Law degree from a top-ranked law school.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Significant contract drafting experience.
- Expertise in consumer law, data protection issues, and compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new practice areas and become familiar with laws of other jurisdictions.
- Ability to handle detailed-oriented legal work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in trade promotions, gambling, lotteries, and/or gaming laws is a plus.
- Knowledge of charity laws is a plus.
