We have an amazing role of offer for a seasoned Office Manager who also loves to crunch numbers! Working for this incredible student facility near Sydney Uni (underground secure parking provided) will see you wearing many different hats and juggling a variety of balls in the air. You are the consummate professional but have a compassionate and empathetic nature and can be a true confidante to the students when needed. The students need to feel this is their home away from home, so someone who is nurturing, kind, energetic, able to manage a million things at once whilst keeping a smile on your face would be perfect! Your role will be varied and will be made up of office management duties, and general accounts using MYOB is essential. Reporting to the CEO and COO (who are both wonderful people) you will become part of the 'family' and the integral missing piece to the puzzle.
THE ROLE
- Undertaking all general day to day administration as instructed by the CEO
- Front desk Reception support for the students
- Providing all prospective students, visiting academics and other visitors with information and tours of premises
- Assist with facilities management, purchasing and supervision of maintenance tasks
- Maintaining student, room and function booking registers
- Organisation of events, functions and conferences - booking travel and accommodation
- Overseeing of all communications internally and externally
- Dealing with all students and reservation system
- Preparation of BAS and FBT lodgements
- Bank and monthly reconciliations
- Preparation of financial reports
- Assisting with annual budged preparation and audit reports
- Maintaining leave and fixed assets register
- Preparation of payroll and super
- Raising and payment of invoices
- Management of petty cash

- You have a strong history in managing an office environment and love being the Jack/Jill of all trades
- Strong experience managing financials
- Experienced user of MYOB and MS Office suite
- Ability to jump from one task to the next without blinking an eye
- Fabulous people skills and ability to be empathetic and listen to student's need and wants
- Ability to set up processes and procedures - systematic and highly organised approach
- Accuracy with excellent attention to detail
- Have an open understanding of multiculturalism and diversity
- Able to use initiative and jump in wherever possible without being told
- Have an innate ability to 'read the room'
- Friendly, warm, engaging and kind personality with a can-do attitude and admirable work ethic
- This role is paying between $75-80K+s neg on experience and skills
- 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and finish at 2.00 pm on Friday's (35 hour week)
