Our client is a high-end boutique firm located in East Sydney, operating at the top end of the real estate transaction market. Acting (almost exclusively) for institutional landlords, including listed property funds, other managed funds developers) the firm specialises in retail leasing, development projects, due diligence, commercial sales and acquisitions. Whilst the firm is small, they deal daily with major national law firms and in-house legal teams of national blue chip public companies. The culture of the firm is progressive and collegial.
About the role:
You will provide key support to the Partner with retail and commercial transactions including shopping centre leasing, development and capital transactions. You will also assist with general property matters including easements, subdivisions and other titling matters.
The ideal candidate:
- A lawyer with minimum 4-5+ years’ experience in commercial property – leasing and commercial conveyancing
- Background in retail leasing preferred
- PEXA experience
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Able to work autonomously within a collegial office environment
