He has experience recruiting senior legal roles and legal management roles for a range of law firms in New Zealand. He also has experience in recruitment leadership for a large corporate. Jarrod joined the Elias Recruitment team in April 2024.Jarrod lives in Auckland with his 4 boys and when he's not spending time with his boys and all their activities, he enjoys triathlon, mountain biking, ocean swimming and cycling.Jarrod holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Post Graduate Diploma in Commerce.

Are you an experienced Family Lawyer with at least 5 years post admission experience? We currently have opportunities for Senior Associates or Special Counsels in three different Sydney law firms. The opportunities and the firms are all different so there will be something that suits you!

The first is with an extremely well-respected Family Law firm based in stunning CBD offices. They are looking for a Senior Associate with at least 5 years experience who can hit the ground running. For a family law specialist firm, they are large and pay market leading salaries because they recruit top performers. They are working on the biggest cases in Australia and have leading family lawyers. They have a large support team ensuring you can focus on delivering to clients. They are large enough to lead the market but small enough to provide a fun team environment. They also offer hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 working from home.

The second role is with an ambitious and dynamic small firm that is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with a growth mindset to grow the family law practice in their Sydney office. The firm specialises in Family Law but is part of a larger legal group. This role requires someone with leadership experience and business development skills. There is a team in place, with support and mentoring from head office but you will play an important leadership role in the Sydney office. The firm has a clear strategy to grow the Sydney office and for the right candidate, if you have the skills to grow the practice and build a team there is a genuine pathway to equity.

The third role is with a mid tier firm that is rapidly growing their Sydney office. They are open to someone at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level. In this firm, you get all the benefits of working for a larger firm, but also the opportunities that come with a growing office. You’ll be joining an existing Family Law team with 2 Partners and play an important role as a senior member of the team.
