About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for a litigation lawyer to join a busy and growing disputes team handling a diverse mix of commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency matters in Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will manage complex files from commencement through to resolution, appear in court, advise sophisticated commercial clients and play an active role in mentoring junior lawyers and a team of paralegals. This role offers genuine autonomy, direct client contact and clear opportunities for long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a broad portfolio of commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency matters.
• Advise businesses, financial institutions, liquidators and trustees on complex commercial disputes.
• Prepare pleadings, statutory demands, winding-up applications, bankruptcy applications and Federal Court documents.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings across NSW, other States and Territories of Australia, as well as New Zealand.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
• Mentor and support junior lawyers and paralegals as part of a collaborative team.

About You
You are an experienced litigation lawyer who enjoys running matters autonomously while working closely with clients and colleagues to achieve commercial outcomes.

You'll ideally bring:

• 5+ PQE in commercial litigation, debt recovery and/or insolvency.
• Strong technical knowledge and confidence in managing matters from start to finish.
• Court advocacy experience across NSW and Federal jurisdictions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• A practical, commercially minded approach to dispute resolution.
• A collaborative mindset and an interest in mentoring junior team members.
